NSW Seniors Athletics Championships
TRACK & FIELD COMPETITIONS
Held over a series of rounds starting in mid-October, the competition is a way for all athletes to get involved in an organised competition. Athletes score points for their respective clubs which tally towards both the age group pennants and the overall Treloar Shield. Cherrybrook Athletics finished 4th in the Premiership in the 2014-15 season.
NSW State Relays
This team based competition is great for club camaraderie as participants do their best to perform and support their respective clubs. Both track and field relays are contested across 2 days at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre. Four athletes are selected per relay event, so there is plenty of opportunity for athletes to be selected and participated. ALL athletes are strongly encouraged to participate in what is always a very fun and friendly day with fellow Cherrybrook Athletes. Nominations will open in Monday 12 October and once confirmed athletes will be informed via email of which relay(s) they have been selected for and team lists will be made available on our website.
Competition held in January each year that showcases the best athletes from each club in NSW competing against one another in a variety of events for the title of club champion. Cherrybrook will select the top 3 athletes in each event discipline based on their personal bests of the current season. Cherrybrook Junior Division had a very convincing win during 2014-15 season.
Allcomers competitions are open to all Athletics NSW registered athletes and take place from January-April. The competition is graded allowing athletes of similar ability and standard to compete against one another. Runners are seeded in races based on previous performances.
